Biography
Jess joined the Employment team in 2017 and departed in 2023 as the Paralegal Team Leader in order to commence her Training Contract with Irwin Mitchell. Following seats in Corporate Tax, Restructuring and Insolvency and Employment, Jess qualified into the Employment team in May 2025. Jess works in both the advisory team and the legal expense insurance team, meaning she covers advising clients on all areas of employment law on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Jess guides clients through employment tribunal claims, addressing issues such as unfair or wrongful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims. Jess offers practical HR support to businesses on disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy, termination of employment, and the drafting of contracts and policies.

Jess has experience with both defending claims on behalf of Respondent clients and pursuing claims on behalf of Claimant clients.
