Biography
I was admitted as a solicitor in Australia in 2000 and in England and Wales in 2006. I joined the Irwin Mitchell International Serious Injury team in 2004. I’ve represented clients in personal injury claims arising from:
- Sport
- Road traffic accidents
- Incidents on or involving planes and boats
- Accidents at hotels, public and private property
- Animal attacks
- Medical negligence
I recently acted for 85 Claimants who sustained injuries or lost loved one in the horrific terrorist attack that took place in Tunisia in 2015.
As an international athlete I also have a specialist interest and expertise in claims involving sport.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
As a child, I experienced the litigation process first-hand after a member of my family suffered an unfortunate accident. This sparked my interest in the law and fostered my desire to help others in similar situations.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I get a huge amount of satisfaction from achieving great results for my clients. It’s particularly satisfying when you can make a real difference to someone’s life.
I’m inspired and motivated by my clients on a daily basis. I’ve met some amazing people who’ve been truly remarkable in the face of adversity.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I love working with a great bunch of people who’re like minded in their passion and enthusiasm for helping others.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Sport dominates my life away from the office, including: Rugby, cricket, football, Australian Rules, F1, athletics you name it, I’ll follow it! I like to participate as well and keep very busy playing touch rugby and netball.
I’ve also represented England over 100 times in touch rugby, participating at 4 World Cups and 8 European Championships.
