Biography
I work as a Senior Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Court of Protection team helping deputyship and trust clients manage their property and financial affairs. This involves managing my clients’ daily and capital expenditure and also coordinating investments and estate/tax planning on their behalf. An important part of my role is to develop good relationships with my clients to ensure that I manage their affairs to suit their best interests.
I am experienced in making a variety of applications to the Court of Protection for both vulnerable and elderly clients, from emergency interim, and later full, deputyship applications (both lay and professional), to Statutory Gifts and Wills, to replacement of incapacitated trustees for property. These cases often involve more complex issues, for example – domicile, safeguarding, divorcing without capacity, deprivation of liberty and contested capacity assessments.
What inspired you to get into law?
It's a cliché but I wanted to be able to help people.

I like working at Irwin Mitchell because it is a friendly and supportive environment. Everyone is approachable and happy for you to draw on their expertise to gain the best result for clients.
What do you do away from the office?
Out of the office I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, baking, going to the theatre and swimming.
