Biography
I’m the Head of our very successful National Medical Negligence team which is the largest specialist medical negligence team in the UK. This is an area of law that I’ve worked exclusively in for the last 26 years and I love it. It’s a specialism that is both challenging and rewarding. Although it still has the capacity to make me very sad, I can't imagine doing any other type of law. I’m also the Regional Managing Partner for our Birmingham office.
Irwin Mitchell is a fantastic firm to work for. We are, and always have been totally committed to this work and the resources we all have to call upon make the job a much easier one for lawyers and clients alike. As well as heading the national team with hundreds of lawyers and other specialist support, I now work just on cases for children with cerebral palsy and there can't be a more inspiring group of clients to work with.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
My father, I'm not even sure I can remember how or why since he isn't a lawyer and neither was anyone else in the family but I blame him.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
Undoubtedly the clients I have had the privilege to work with over the years who remind me constantly what's important in life.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
The excellent lawyers I work with and the support services that surround me. They make my job so much easier than it otherwise would be and enable me to provide a comprehensive service for my clients.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
In the occasional spare moments that my husband and three children haven't planned out for me I love to read, exercise, watch films, travel and drink good wine, although probably not in that order.
