Biography
I manage one of the Serious Injury teams in the Sheffield office. I specialise in dealing with adult brain injury and spinal cord injury cases.
I am dedicated to ensuring that those people who suffer such permanent and life-changing injuries through no fault of their own, receive appropriate and enabling rehabilitation to promote independence where possible.
I have extensive experience in securing substantial interim payments for the purpose of providing adapted accommodation, establishing case management and care and therapy packages.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
My parents encouraged me to do well at school, and in discussion with them and my school tutors we agreed either medicine or the law would be a good fit. Unfortunately I can't stand the sight of blood so medicine was out pretty quickly!
I read law at Durham University and undertook my Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York. At that stage I had not decided what area of the law I wanted to specialise in but the first seat of my training contract was in personal injury and I never looked back.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I am inspired to help my clients and their families at a time in their lives when they have been through such a traumatic experience and everything they hold dear to them appears to be changing. This can happen in a number of ways whether it is assisting with introductions to private rehabilitation, appointing a case manager, liaising with architects over housing adaptations, securing interim funding to pay for much needed services or helping them with debt management. The list can be endless and we try to make their lives easier for them when they need it the most. I find this the most rewarding, a close second is when former clients make contact and let me know how they are getting on post-settlement, that always makes me smile!
